Maskers' Bassett Studioon
4th to 9th February 1979
Our very last production in the Bassett Studio is the product of one of the major talents working in the theatre today. “Old Times” shows us a man and his wife and their mysterious visitor. A trio with an obsessive, even destructive, concern for the past. Set at night in a converted farmhouse in Autumn, the play reveals the uncertainties of memory and results in a masterpiece of quiet humour and tension.
The Bassett Studio was an annexe to the Bassett pub and restaurant owned by Schooner Inns. They required the annexe back as they were expanding and needed a staff rest & break room. We vacated the building one week after this show finished. At the time we did not know where we would be going!!
